AFFINITY AT WINTER PARK INSTALL

Not only did we NOT INSTALL this lock, it was there when we moved in, but we have been living in the apartment since September of 2014 and it was never a problem until after we complained. After finally fixing the A/C the manager gave us a "7-day notice of noncompliance" for a secondary lock that WE DID NOT INSTALL. It only kept ONE room cool while the rest of the apartment reached a temperature of 84 degrees. In the mean time we were given a window A/C unit to keep our entire apartment cool. After I complained to corporate they finally began replacing the A/C unit, it took them THREE days to do. They refused to solve the problem until I contacted corporate and complained. My A/C was not working for over a month, I turned in multiple work orders, walked into the office to request that my A/C be fixed multiple times, and had to call emergency maintenance TWICE. UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Maintenance DOES NOT FIX PROBLEMS! New manager, Kristen, is a NIGHTMARE. With talking with department of health, and corporate, and my roommate involving lawyers, they decided to just let us out THANKFULLY! I put my dog in the cage before I left, I came home they let my dog loose in the neighborhood, but they were still in my apartment. Anyways, I had company come visit for a few days, Adam (property manager), pretty much told them they weren't supposed to be there because their name wasn't on the lease. I called department of health because the house was unsanitary, wood cabinets started to rot, washing machine/dryer had lint and stuff from previous owners and it was rusty, under the cabinets smelled of urine, not to mention the roaches! The AC wasn't properly working, NEITHER was the water, you're literally in the shower for like 2 minutes the water turns completely cold almost immediately. We lived there for only 2 weeks because it was so bad. I've asked the leasing office to fumigate the whole apartment building and they told me that they would send notices that following Monday, however the only thing they did do was send the pest control guy to spray here and there, and basically refused to fumigate. I went to management with my concerns, and they were making it seem as though I brought the roaches! I've spoke to the upstairs neighbor, they too had roaches that they said came from time to time, and they had no idea where they came from, they got rid of them from bombing the apartment but then they'd reappear. Finally moved in and there were SO many roaches in the apartment, it was disgusting, it was like peeping around the corner to make sure you're not in their way, and I shouldn't have to do so in my own home. We came in that Friday before move in to see the house, and we spotted 1 dead roach, they claimed they exterminated before we moved in, and that's why we see that it was dead, and that we wouldn't see them when we move in. The first thing they told me was the last thing I would be worried about was my apartment, however that was a lie.
